CNC Machinist

Two Full-Time Machinist Positions Available Straightline Precision is a small/medium sized, family-owned manufacturing company located on the Saanich Peninsula. Our work focusses primarily on the medical, aerospace and general contract manufacturing sectors. We are known across the industry for our high standards, precision and quality of work. As a member of this team, you are responsible for the programming, setup & operation of 2-9 Axis CNC machines ensuring consistency and accuracy of parts. Key Accountabilities: o Attentive operation of 3 to 5 axis CNC Mills and or 2 to 9 axis CNC Lathes o Accurate set up and take down of various jobs o Read and interpret drawings, technical documents and verbal instructions o Efficiently program jobs o Produce precise and consistent parts o Making parts to specifications o Work to tight tolerances o Knowledge of and ability to follow ISO protocols o Responsible for detailed completion of all required paperwork o Lifting/loading heavy materials on occasion o Working with a high regard to safety standards Requirements: o Experience with 2 to 9 axis CNC Lathes AND/OR o Experience with 3 to five axis CNC Mill o Experience programing CNC Machines as above o Strong lathe/MTM and/or milling experience o Self-motivated, responsible, well organized, and reliable o Collaborative team player, solutions-focussed with good communication skills o Gibbs CAM experience would be a benefit, but other Cam experience would help Schedule: * 8 Hours / Day Shifts Medical and dental benefits available.
